Side-sleeper pressure relief
Winner: Helix MidnightThis is the one dimension where Helix Midnight has a structural advantage rather than a marginal one. It is a memory-foam quilted pillow-top over individually-wrapped coils, spec'd at a medium 6/10 and explicitly tuned for side sleepers in the 130-230 lb range. The whole product exists to let a shoulder and a hip sink without the spine bending, and the 13.5″ luxe profile gives it the depth to do that.
Saatva Classic is a dual-coil innerspring. Its own use-case breakdown rates a strict, light-framed side sleeper as "ok" rather than "great", with the honest note that even the Plush Soft 3/10 option is firmer than most all-foam softs and that memory foam is the better answer when pressure relief is the priority. That is Saatva's assessment of Saatva, not ours, and it's the clearest signal in either file.
So: if you spend the night on your shoulder and that shoulder is what wakes you, Helix. The counterweight is that Helix lists "lighter sleepers may find it firmer than advertised" as a con — if you're well under 130 lb, the Midnight may not sink enough for you either, and Saatva's Plush Soft becomes worth a look precisely because you get to choose.
