Terms of service.

SleepyHero is a sleep-niche reference site at sleepyhero.com providing sleep tools, gear reviews, and parent-zone editorial content. The site is operated by SleepyHero (the "Service", "we", "us"), and "you" or "User" refers to anyone using the Service.

The Service is provided as-is. Sleep tools provide information, not medical advice. If you have a clinical concern, see a physician or sleep specialist.

SleepyHero tools and articles are educational. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, advice, or treatment. Specific conditions (sleep apnea, insomnia, parasomnia, postpartum depression, ADHD-related sleep issues, etc.) require a licensed clinician. We flag this on relevant pages, but the principle applies site-wide.

If you suspect you or your child has a medical condition, contact your physician. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you read on SleepyHero.

Creating an account is optional. Account holders agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering.
• Keep account credentials confidential. We use magic-link authentication, so the security of the linked email account is the relevant attack surface.
• Not share an account with multiple users.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to disrupt the service, or are used for fraudulent activity. We'll notify you and provide a window to export your saved data unless the violation is severe (e.g., security breach).

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or republish editorial content (reviews, articles, methodology) without permission.
• Use the API or tools to overload the service. Rate limits apply (10 requests per minute per IP).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the underlying calculation logic for commercial republishing.
• Impersonate any person or entity in newsletter signups or account creation.

Tool calculation outputs are for personal use. Aggregating tool outputs at scale or republishing them as a commercial product requires written permission.

The Service contains affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This does not increase your cost. Full disclosure at affiliate-disclosure. Editorial reviews are not influenced by commission rates.

All editorial content (reviews, articles, methodology, tool interfaces, brand assets) is © SleepyHero. Tool calculation algorithms are proprietary. The site is built on open-source software (Next.js, Tailwind CSS, etc.) per their respective licenses; the content layer is ours.

You may quote our content for non-commercial purposes with attribution and a link back. For commercial use (including AI training data), contact [email protected].

If you believe content on SleepyHero infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to [email protected] including: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing content (URL), your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. SLEEPYHERO IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY HEALTH OUTCOME RELATED TO TOOL OUTPUTS OR EDITORIAL CONTENT — THESE ARE INFORMATIONAL, NOT MEDICAL.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLEEPYHERO IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IN ANY MATTER ARISING FROM THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SleepyHero is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The specific jurisdiction will be finalised at incorporation in Week 10 and updated here.

Most disputes can be resolved by emailing [email protected]. We aim to resolve issues informally. For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to binding individual arbitration in the jurisdiction noted in section 10. Class action and class-wide arbitration are waived to the extent permitted by law.

We update these terms when the Service changes materially. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders and newsletter subscribers, with a 30-day notice before the change takes effect.
