Battery + charging
Winner: Garmin VenuThis is the dimension that decides the pair. Apple rates the Series 10 at 18 hours, which means charging every single day — and the charging window competes directly with the hours you'd be wearing it to sleep. Garmin rates the Venu 3 at 14 days in smartwatch mode. In our scoring that's 5/10 vs 10/10 on battery, the widest gap between these two devices on any measure.
The practical consequence is not convenience, it's data completeness. A sleep tracker only works on nights you're actually wearing it. Apple Watch owners have to invent a routine — charge in the shower, charge during the commute — and every missed charge is a missing night in the record. The Venu 3 asks for a charge roughly twice a month.
Apple's own product listing concedes the point: nightly charging is the first con on the sheet, and a dead watch in the morning is the failure mode owners report most. If you already have a charging habit that works, this matters less than it sounds. If you don't, it's the whole comparison.
